The U3A (University of the Third Age) is a friendly, self motivated organisation for people who wish to join in social, cultural and educational activities. If you would like to meet new friends AND learn something new at minimal cost, then this is the organisation for you. The Peterborough U3A was formed in 1992 and currently has 2754 members, with some 143 group activities to choose from. Classes and Groups covering a wide range of subjects and interests are run by volunteers who are keen to share their enthusiasm and skills with you. These activities take place mainly during the day. No qualifications are needed - simply a wish to participate in activities that interest you. Monthly meetings with speakers and social events are also held on a regular basis.
