Bowls - Bretton

The members and friends of Bretton and District Bowls Club extend a warm invitation to U3A members who are novice or experienced bowlers. Full support is given, and all equipment is provided – all you need to do is to wear flat-soled shoes. We do in fact offer two afternoon sessions every week, on Mondays and Fridays from 2.00 - 4.00. You are welcome to attend the club on either day, or both. Coaching is offered to those who are new to the game, and to those who wish to brush up their skills if they have played before.

Bowls is a sociable game which is easy to learn but, of course, hard to master! Your £2.00 preferential rate gives you a couple of hours of gentle exercise, ample opportunity to acquire some new skills (or practise existing ones) plus refreshments afterwards, in the friendly atmosphere of a small club in South Bretton. Several club members are also in the U3A, so you may well see some familiar faces.

The bowls season runs from the beginning of May to the end of August, but in 2017 the green will be open from Friday 28th April.

End-to-end enjoyment is assured, so what better way to spend a Monday or a Friday afternoon in summer? Want to take a look at our website? Then follow this link: Bretton Bowls.
