Social History

We aim to give a look into the past social life of the country through talks and films and meet on the third Wednesday of each month, except July and August.  The meeting place is Christ Church, Orton Goldhay, looking forward to meeing you there. Meetings begin at 10 am but tea and coffee is available from 9.45 am.  Hope to see you soon.

21 June 2017 Day outing - Visit to Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse Museum. What a fabulous day we all had, wonderful place to go and so well organised by Doreen, many thanks and look forward to next years visit when arranged.

20 June 2018     Day visit  to Bure alley Railway, Norfolk. 

Coach leaves Thorpe meadows at 8.15 prompt to go to Aylsham where we will have a light lunch then take the steam train to Wroxham. we will then have a Broads cruise.  there are refreshments available on the boat if you need to purchase more sustainance!! enjoy the day.
